[This was all for pre-Alpha 19. I’m currently playing Alpha 19 experimental]
To install mods I used the 7D2D Mod Launcher. Windows super doesn’t like a user downloading things from that site but many people use it so I wasn’t too concerned.
Once the Mod Launcher is downloaded open it and you’ll see a list of mod packs on the left. Don’t panic; you don’t have to use all the mods in each pack. You can turn them off and on. I am using modlets from the TOG Farm Horde mod pack. It’s under “ThatOneGuild Overhaul”.
The Red box on the left is the list of all possible mod packs. To use the mods I expanded the option that says ThatOneGuild Overhaul in the green box and selected TOG Farm Horde. Then leave the option in the orange boxes selected to copy from an existing copy and select Install Game copy.
Once the mod is installed select manage modlets. This is where you download the specific mods within the mod packs.
Go through and select which mods you want to use and select download. You’ll have to select it for each mod you want to use. There is a brief description within the 7D2D Mod Launcher but if you google the name of the mod or the author you may be able to find more information.
Once you download them they should show in the “install modlets” option as enabled.
From there go back to TOG Farm Horde and select Pre-Sync Mod. You want to do this to make sure that your game doesn’t have issues with the mods.
After that anytime you want to play with mods open the Mod Launcher and select Play for the mod pack you want to use. To play a game without mods simply open 7D2D directly.
